Important notice* : 1. The current antibody tests are not gold standard and cannot replace the confirmatory tests (RT-PCR) recommended by health authorities.
2. No tests are 100% accurate. False positives and negatives may occur. A false negative may be due to antibodies concentration lower than the detection threshold of the test kit/absent and false positives may be due to interference from the blood sample.
3. A negative test result does not guarantee that the patient will not become infected by COVID-19 or develop symptoms at a later date. If patient is symptomatic and with travel history to high risk areas with outbreak of the COVID-19 infection, further testing and follow up should be arranged.
